HELP! I need some skin care advice for a 34 year old woman, what can you recommend?

I have combination skin. I am a natural blond with fair skin. Luckily, I really don't have any wrinkles yet except for some starting under my eyes. I am a smoker though and I am trying to quit not only for beauty's sake but my health. I have spent a lot of time in the sun in my life but the past couple of years, I haven't been tanning. I have samples of Estee Lauder's ';Advanced Night Repair';, Clinique's ';Total Turnaround';, and Lancome's ';Resolution.'; I like how they all feel. They are costly though and I wonder if they are really worth it or am I just as well off with a cheaper drug store brand? How many times a day should I be cleansing, moisturizing, using anti-wrinkle products, and possibly using a mask? I break out but mainly just around my jaw line. I do have large pores that are constantly clogged! I'd love it if someone could suggest products to use and when to use them. I'm afraid to go to the department store and go to a make-up counter 'cause they (cont'd)HELP! I need some skin care advice for a 34 year old woman, what can you recommend?
my wife is 50 she looks 30 i swear to god but mircoderm abrasion is overrated it makes your skin look like dogmeat for awhile. i have gotten my wife collegen injections, microdermabrsion, lasers, botox and none of those work the best thing to do is go to a dermatologist and ask for a chemical face peel at 50% strength for 1 minute the first few time and 2 minutes after about the 3rd time. they last for upto 3 months and only cost about $60-75 they work great with pigment problems, wrinkles, fine lines.HELP! They have a very friendly staff that will take time out to find out what works for you. There are so many to choose from simply because they want to give you the best one that works for you. There is a website so that you can find a store near you(i don't know where you live) so check out there website and find a store near you or you can order there products online.

Did I also mention the fact that there products are handmade AND they only use fresh ingredients and only the safest synthetics. I have been using there products for a month now and i have perfectly clear skin. Its amazing!!!!!!
Your busy lifestyle leaves little time for pampering skin care. The result: Your skin isn't the baby-soft body glove with which you were born. With age, your skin gradually becomes thinner and finely wrinkled. Oil-producing (sebaceous) glands grow less active leaving your skin drier. The number of blood vessels in your skin decreases, your skin becomes more fragile, and you lose your youthful color and glow.

Good skin care 鈥?such as avoiding the sun, washing your skin gently and applying moisturizer regularly 鈥?can help delay the natural aging process and prevent many skin problems. These simple skin-care habits will help you protect your skin to keep it healthy and glowing for years to come.

1. Protect yourself from the sun

The best way to take care of your skin is to protect it from the sun. Ultraviolet light 鈥?the invisible but intense rays of the sun 鈥?damages your skin, causing deep wrinkles, dry, rough skin, liver spots, and more serious disorders, such as noncancerous (benign) and cancerous (malignant) skin tumors.

For the most complete sun protection, use all three of these methods:

Avoid the sun during high-intensity hours. The sun's rays are most damaging from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Reduce the time you spend outdoors during these hours.

Wear protective clothing. Cover your skin with clothing, such as long-sleeved shirts, long pants and wide-brimmed hats. Also, keep in mind that certain clothing styles and fabrics offer better protection from the sun than do others. For example, long-sleeved shirts offer better protection than short-sleeved shirts do. And tightly woven fabrics such as denim are better than loosely woven fabrics such as knits.

Use sunscreen. Apply sunscreen liberally 20 minutes before going outdoors and reapply every two hours, after heavy sweating or after being in water.

2. Don't smoke

Smoking can accelerate the normal aging process of your skin, contributing to wrinkles. Skin changes from smoking can be seen in young adults who have been smoking for as few as 10 years.

Smoking causes narrowing of the blood vessels in the outermost layers of skin. This decreases blood flow, depleting the skin of oxygen and nutrients, such as vitamin A, that are important to skin health. All of these factors increase damage to the elastic fibers (elastin) and collagen which give your skin strength and elasticity.

In addition, the repetitive facial expressions you make when smoking 鈥?such as pursing your lips when inhaling and squinting your eyes to keep out smoke 鈥?may contribute to wrinkles. It's also possible that repeated exposure to the heat from burning cigarettes may damage your facial skin over time.

3. Wash your skin gently

Cleaning is an essential part of caring for your skin. The key is to treat your skin gently.

Use warm water and limit bath time. Hot water and long showers or baths remove oils from your skin. Limit your bath or shower time to about 15 minutes or less, and use warm, rather than hot, water.

Avoid strong soaps. Strong soaps 鈥?those most capable of stripping oil from your skin 鈥?can leave your skin dry. Instead, choose mild soaps with oils and fats added to them during the soap manufacturing process.

Avoid irritating additives. If your skin is sensitive, avoid products containing perfumes or dyes. These can irritate your skin and may trigger an allergic response.

Remove eye makeup carefully. Use a soft sponge, cotton cloth or cotton balls when removing eye makeup to avoid damaging the delicate tissue around your eyes. If you wear heavy, waterproof makeup, you may need to use an oil-based product such as petroleum jelly.

Pat dry. After washing or bathing, gently pat or blot your skin dry with a towel so that some moisture remains on the skin. Immediately moisturize your skin with an oil or cream.

4. Moisturize regularly

Moisturizers help maintain your skin's natural moisture levels. They work by providing a seal over your skin 鈥?to keep water from escaping 鈥?or by slowly releasing water into your skin.

The moisturizer that's best for you and the frequency with which you need to moisturize depends on many factors, including your skin type, your age and whether you have specific conditions such as acne. A good way to test if you need a moisturizer is to wait 20 minutes after bathing. If your skin feels tight, you should apply a moisturizer.

Select a moisturizer with a sun protection factor (SPF) of at least 15 to help protect your skin from damaging ultraviolet rays. If you have sensitive skin, look for products free of heavy dyes, perfumes or other additives. If your skin is very dry, you may want to apply an oil, such as baby oil, while your skin is still moist. Oil has more staying power than moisturizers do and prevents the evaporation of water from the surface of your skin. If your skin is oily, you may want to skip moisturizing.

5. Shave carefully

Shaving is a common and inexpensive way to remove unwanted hair. But shaving can cause skin irritations, especially if your skin is thin, dry or very sensitive. For a smooth shave:

Press a warm wash cloth on your skin before shaving to soften the hair. Or shave after a warm bath or shower.

Don't shave dry skin, which can cause razor burn. Apply shaving cream, lotion or gel before shaving to protect and lubricate your skin.

Use a clean, sharp razor. If using an electric razor, don't use the closest setting, which can irritate the skin.

Shave in the direction of hair growth, not against it.

Rinse your skin afterwards with warm water.

If irritation does occur, apply a lotion that doesn't contain ethyl or isopropyl alcohol. Though alcohol and alcohol-based products may feel cooling, they don't really soothe irritated skin because the alcohol evaporates rapidly from the skin.
I'm only 26, but I have acne problems, and I use proactive solution. It helps with my acne and the blemishes. You should wash your face at least once a day, preferably before bed, I wash mine twice a day depending on the extent of my break outs. You should moisturize everyday and make sure your moisturizer has sunscreen in it. I don't wear make-up so I cant help you there. I saw an episode of Oprah with doctor Oz about what ingredients to look for in health care products that are good for the skin. log on to her web site and see if you can pull it up. It never hurts to want to look your best, but don't be so hard on yourself, I'm sure you look fine just the way you are. Good luck :)
choosing a base too dark for your skintone will add five years to your appearance, and going to light will make your complexion look grey. enhance your features with a foundation that matches your skin perfectly. Prescriptives does a range called flawless perfection.they also do a colourprint. but I am afraid you will have to go to one of the big store departments like Harrods, Selfridges, or John Lewis.to have this done.Prescriptives is owned by Estee Lauder's.
Hi it sounds like you are trying to take good care of your skin inside and out. Good on you.

Sunshine is the worst wrinkler of skin and it doesn't show for quite a while. So you are wise to check this one out. Try to use a moisturizer that has at least a SP15 for protection.

Having large pores may be to the fact you have a slightly

oiler skin. This is easily fixed with regular face masks. This will also pull out any impurities. At first you may get a few pimples but just think of it as detoxing your face it will get better with regular use.

For the open pores simply turn you shower to a cooler setting and put your face under it to tone it. If you can stand it colder turn it slowly down. This will also help close up the pores. If you can stand to do your whole body with the cooler and cold it will tone up your whole body skin with time not just your face.

You may be getting pimples from using product that is too nurtritious for your younger skin. Try a lighter product.

There are good cheaper products like Oil of Olay they have a great selection and they can be bought in the supermarket.

Use the moisturizer for day-wear or under make-up and a night product for at night to re-engergize the skin.

Also remember to treat your neck as it is part of your face.

So here are some tips

You can clean off makeup or daily grim on the face with moisturizer. True.

Use cool or cold water as an astringent or to tone the face and make large pores smaller.

Moisturise under makeup.

Use a night cream.

Once a month use a face mask.

Now to keep looking younger and prevent lines and stop everything from drooping here is a book that honestly will do that. Facial excercises and it does work. I have included the site for the book and you may be able to obtain it locally as well. Use the excercises you think suit you. Think of it as an investment plan for the future.

Don't go overboard with expensive STUFF for your face they are sometimes no better than the cheap stuff.

Take care J
I've always heard that sperm is a great skin lotion. Have fun!
