Do Thai women have sex before marriage? 10 points for the best advice. Thank you?

Sawadee Ka,

I just want to know whether Thai women (age 18-25) still value virginity. How is the Thai society view of young couples having pre-marital sex?

P.S. I am talking about typical Thai women--Not hookers! :)

Thank you so much.

I can read Thai ka.Do Thai women have sex before marriage? 10 points for the best advice. Thank you?
If I were Thai I would be very offended.

Even if you were a fellow Thai, what do you think? that they are barbarians?

of course they have morals, and almost every modern society looks down on lose of virginity before marriage. It happens all the time, cause...it's fun...heh...

but yes they do value it(some more then others, just like everywhere else in the world)...not every Thai girl is a hooker.

I know you don't intend to offend anyone but still...Do Thai women have sex before marriage? 10 points for the best advice. Thank you?
Welllllll! The girls working in bars were not born ';bar girls!'; Even ';hookers'; were not born preordained as hookers! Often they work in their new professions to earn money to support children or help their parents out!

Most of the bar girls work bars to support children that the fathers don't support! Some of these ladies were not married and they had to find a job to send money home, usually it is parents or other family members that are taking care of the kids.

So, I guess just like other countries, some ladies do get in a family way without being married first! When they are young many of them are not wise in the ways of birth control and end up with unplanned pregnancies. Many ladies work in bars and even as hookers to make the lives of their children a little better by providing clothes, food and school!
i'm married to a thai woman, she was 26 and still a virgin. it all depends really, i've known many ladies that said they were virgins and waiting for marriage, i've also known many that weren't. most bar girls i've met will never tell their parents if they go out with customers. i think they are more interested in not losing face for themselves or their families, but still needing to be able to bring home some decent money to help the family.

my wife comes from a military family, she was watched by her parents and 2 older brothers...even when they lived on base. she went to a disco 1 time and a brother escorted her and her friends. the neighbor girl to us is 21, she never leaves the house except to go to college. she does have a boyfriend now and can go out with him now when he comes to town, he went to her father and asked if he could be allowed to date her. he gave his approval, i'm not sure if she's still a virgin or not...but they did it the right way, according to tradition so i don't think it matters now,
Well I go to Thailand every year with my husband and I have found over the last five years the clothes seem to be getting skimpier and the girls over there are always in fights over boys stc.

Not to offend anyone but I think it just depends on the individual but I think it probably doesnt matter anymore about sex before marriage.

Its becoming a thing of the past in most countries I find

Hope this helps
To answer your question without sweeping generalizations is difficult.

There are big differences between socio-economic groups and between different geographic regions.

To generalize, you鈥檒l find that traditional / conservative Thai values such as Thai women being chaste until marriage are observed in the deep south as well as among upper middle-class families, especially of 2nd or 3rd generation Thais of Chinese descent.

On the other hand, you鈥檒l find that in farming communities, it is very widespread with sex before marriage. But, again to generalize, the problem is not as much a question of deteriorating moral values, but rather that young males are allowed to be very irresponsible, i. e., they can leave the pregnant girl on her own without being condemned or reprimanded by the community. In urban settings, the guys act the same way in the poorer socio-economic groups.

This is not really anything new. When I was at Thammasat (over 10 years ago), the same patterns were found in a research project we did.

But, the globalization and pop-culture influences have impacted the values of the Thai urban youth. It is not something that started happening after 2002 (when you left), but the strength or impact of such influences have accelerated over the past decade. And it is not only western influences, but also various trends from Japan and South Korea. I鈥檓 sure you know some of the many Thai pop bands (such as China Dolls) Grammy invented (copied) from what was popular in Japan.

One aspect of these influences is a more liberal attitude to premarital sex among many young urbanites. While a survey indicates 70% of the respondents have had premarital sex, I am not sure this represents the full picture. Before assuming a survey represents the ultimate truth, one should question who and how many were asked. The respondents probably do not represent all of Thailand鈥檚 population, but only a certain part (e.g., Bangkokians).

But I am pretty sure the trend (an earlier survey indicated 50% while the recent survey indicated 70%) indicated by the surveys is correct . . . . premarital sex is getting more common and thus more accepted in Thai society.
I am from the US and I have visited Thailand many times. I have now 2 daughters that live in the US and I'm sure neither are still virgins which to me as their father does matter but knowing how life in the US is, it is or was their own decision not one of them having to make for the money. In Thailand I have found that most of the young ladies that I have talked with still have very strong family values much more there than the US. But with the economy the way that it is, it is my openion that the ladies will do what they have to to help their families. From my experience there is nothing more important to a Thai lady than her family.
No in some Asian Country it's considered to be illegal.
sawadee ka coon sabbi dee mai farang men and women have sex before marriage, thai are no different.i do not know what % of women(all women not only thai) value their virginity but i think the number would be low
I hope it's more sensible there than it is here.
I know you are looking for a serious answer, so this is what I know from reading the local English language paper the Bangkok Post.

Goverenment officials are very concerned about the increased sexual activity of teenagers. It is skyrocketing in Thailand. On Valentine's Day, the police increased security and observations at all suspected hangout for sexual activity, bars, discos, motels, malls, etc. I was quite surprised wondering to myslef, are they having sex in the mall's bathrooms ???

Also like someone else pointed out, the girls are dressing more risque than ever before. Just go to Paragon, MBK or Central World and watch the way girls act.
Yes, although it is frowned upon if their family found out. Now there are traditional Thai girls that do not have sex before marriage. But now a days most Thai girls are like other girls and do have sex before marriage.

A question for the men, Sorry women but I need a mans advice on this one?

I have been talking to this guy for a few months and about three weeks ago we went from being friends to Friends with benefits after we slept together. He said he wanted this to be an ongoing thing and we both decided that we didnt want a relationship at this point in our lives because he is busy with work and school, and im still trying to work on me and my past relationship issues. We dont have each others cell numbers and only communicate thru IMs, he messages me everyday even if it is just to say hi and ask how I am doing. He even sends me a message if he knows he may not be able to talk to me that day like when he goes on a fishing trip and even still he usually messages me when he gets home. He tells me how much he wants to see me but then never does, he always says he has to work late, or study, or has something else that he cant possibly get out of. We only slept together the one time and even though he tells me it was awesome and cant wait until we do it again and until im (insert sexual act here lol) Im just not sure if he only does this so he doesnt hurt my feelings by saying he isnt into me. I have a tendancy to over analyze everthing which is what I am doing now but cant help it. So guys what do you think? Is he really just busy or is this a sweet way of being rejected? Would a man take the time out of his day everyday for the last month to message me and tell me all this stuff just to not hurt my feelings? I know this sounds crazy but I need to know. Also do you think that something that starts as Friends with benefits can evolve into a relationship or do you think if he was ready he would see me as to easy and go look for a new girl to start something meaningful?A question for the men, Sorry women but I need a mans advice on this one?
yeah you're overthinking it

just let it flow naturally. he must really like you to be saying all these things. and yes, some things that start as friends with benefits can evolve into relationships, eventually down the line.A question for the men, Sorry women but I need a mans advice on this one?
he's probably busy don't think about it too much

What are some good makeup tips for the 40-something woman? Application and brand advice?

Well, I'm only 18 so you can consider me a null source if you like. But as far as product lines go, I would definately reccomend neutrogena. They make great stuff. It's a little more of an investment but it's great for your skin. You can get makeup with toner in it or that moistureizes, even oil free if you need it. (though I would imagine that would be more in the teen spectrum what with the raging hormones and all...) The line is based more on natural beauty. Which, in my opinion, is what makes a woman look beautiful. I'd say it's worthwhile to find a good mascaera too. I recently bought one with a fantastic applicator that lengthens and thickens my lashes beyond anything else I've tried. It comes in a purple container and it's CoverGirl Lash Exact. It's been great as long as I've had it and it keeps well. I wouldn't reccomend eyeliner - just a dark mascaera, but that's sort of personal preference. Hope some of this helped... I've tried a lot of stuff with dance recitals and colorguard shows and all... so I have a little experience with it at least. Best of luck to you! :)What are some good makeup tips for the 40-something woman? Application and brand advice?
Less is more. Reddish/pink lipstick is a staple, some blush, mascara and you should be good to go!What are some good makeup tips for the 40-something woman? Application and brand advice?
The less the better if you're over 40...try Laura Mercier (nordstroms)
Mary Kay is an excellent brand for any age. Check with a local consultant and you can get a free makeover and try before you buy.
Go easy on the eye liner and dark eye colours...try pastel and neutral colours instead. Depending on the skin colour, which would look better on you...warm colours (e.g. brown) or cool colours (e.g. green). A good non-greasy moisturiser will give your skin a nice healthy glow before make up application. If eye make up is emphasised, go easy on the lips (application of a neutral colour with a touch of gloss in the middle) and vice versa. If you have healthy skin, opt for a concealer (Bobbi Brown is pretty good) rather than foundation. Don't forget to dab a little under the eyes for a smooth and polished look.
Well my mom is 40 she looks gr8 in a shimmery bronzer(rust coloured since it matches her skintone). Do not use lipgloss. Lipsticks with a good mosturiser are nice. U can use a grown/black eyeliner. Clear mascara.
Ok, I'm 40+ and I use bare minerals. Looks natural, no caking or powdery look that shows all of your wrinkles. it's a gentle make-up and really works well. Less is more when it comes to our age group. they have everything that you need, eye shadows, liners, lipsticks, etc.
dunno...maybe bcoz they r the age group that needs make up...lol

Advice for a future business woman.?

I am in the 11th grad right now, and when I graduate I plan on going into Business, I want to try to get into either the Anderson School of UCLA, or Stanford school of Business, I would like to attend Harvard Business school, but I know you have to be pretty much perfect to get into there, but anyway, I need some advice (preferably from people who know what they are talking about lol) about what would be the best way for me to get into a school, like are there any entrepreneur ships available that I should do before I graduate that would make me more likely to get accepted into a good college or just anything. I don't plan to go into business for just anything, I want to become a Top Executive/CEO of something in fashion, I want to be one of the next big things. So any help I would greatly appreciate.Advice for a future business woman.?
Yeah Anderson and Stanford Grad Business are MBA programs and you should worry about that after you finish your 4 year degree.

First you need to figure out what you want as a BA/BS you dont necessarily need a BS in Business to get into a MBA program but it helps. After you complete your BS then you worry about getting in grad school and the MBA program.

The most important thing for getting into a good MBA program is your GPA in college. Without atleast a 3.0 you wont even be considered. Then you also have to take your GMAT and score pretty high (most top schools have people score in the 650+ range) Also i have heard that you should get some work experience first before entering going for your MBA. Yes getting a internship at a good company will help.

Also i doubt you will become a CEO since most CEO are either the founder or cofounders or CEOs from other companies or people who have been with the company since the start.Advice for a future business woman.?
You are talking about graduate business schools, first you need to get an undergrad degree and to be a execuative you need a combination of an underbgrad, a masters, at least, extreme compitence, proven skill, and basically a lot of luck. It's not easy.
If you want to be a top executive, then an MBA will take you far. You're thinking on the right track.

Business school is not only about GPA and GMAT score, although you need stellar numbers to get into the top 10 schools. I would say the most important thing is work experience. Do the best you can in school and get a good GMAT score. After you graduate, it's crucial that you get a good job that gives you lots of opportunity for growth, and that will give you a chance to take on leadership roles. Already having experience as a business leader is crucial in your path toward acceptance at a top school. Typically, students in the top programs have 4-6 years of SUCCESSFUL work experience and have already climbed into managerial positions before they enter bus. school.

But since you are only in the 11th grade, work experience is still too far away from you. What you need to do is get into the best undergrad institution you can (it's important to the top schools) and get the best grades you can. I

'm not sure why you want to go to a two year institution...in addition to a 4 year undergraduate university. It seems like those first two years would be completely unnecessary, a waste of time and money, and wouldn't add a thing to your MBA application.

Advice for dating a pregnant woman?

I met this really nice girl that got pregnant by her bf and then he split. I asked her if she wanted to go out sometime, and she is interested. I haave no problem with her being pregnant, im a single father as well. I just wondered if any ladies would have any advice as to what i should take her to do..lol. I usually would ask a woman to dinner and drinks, obviously thats out. And i live in a smaller town so theres not a lot of activities to do here. Im not the greatest atfirst dates, lol. any advice?Advice for dating a pregnant woman?
Ooooh.

You should take her for a romantic late picnic, just the two of you. Or a picnic at the park, something cute and romantic. A picnic in the grass below the stars isnt anything big, but it can be breath-taking.

If you like her, dont let the pregnancy get in the way. She is special too you and there isn't anything wrong with that. Im sure she needs you and could really care for you. You seem so sweet. (:Advice for dating a pregnant woman?
Dude, good call, you know your going to get some, probably on the first date. Don't take her out to dinner (she will be eating for 2 now) it could get expensive, buy some cheap wine (its ok as long its not a habit during pregnacy) and get her drunk and make your move

Good luck bro!
U can still do dinner...and maybe dancing or hanging out (go for a walk or someplace where u can sit and chat..and have some ice cream or something)...or go to the movies. Ask her if she has a preference on what she would like to do.
To hell with that **** in a months time she will drown you with drama about her last boyfriend scoz she couldnt keep her leegs closed to *badboys*

Lmfao
take her to a nice dinner and don't order any alcohol for yourself
pregnant looooooooooooooooooooooool
Be nice to her.
get some ice cream

Woman's advice needed for possible pregnancy..?

Im on the pill, and after the last time i had sex i have still had my periods as usual. But i know that there could still be a possibility i am, any advice ?Woman's advice needed for possible pregnancy..?
If you had your period as normal, you are not pregnant. If you had very slight brownish spotting, but no bleeding, you may be pregnant. If you need reassurance, buy a pregnancy test and take it when your next period is due, as that is the only time you can accurately test, but it's even cheaper to just wait for your period to come, and only test if you're a week late. Honestly, I don't think you're pregnant.Woman's advice needed for possible pregnancy..?
I would suggest taking a test but there is that small percent that it could be wrong. Most woman, when they think they are pregnant, take an at home pregnancy test. But, you should not rely on them to tell you the truth. If you truly think that you are or will be pregnant then i would greatly suggest going to a doter for a professional test that will tell you the truth. But yes, you could get pregnant even if your on the pill. Anything that is suppose to prevent pregnancy is not all way's 100% affective. If your If you had sex and your period stops then chances are you could be pregnant. When this happens, make an appointment to see a doctor. Hope this helps.
when you take the pregnancy test depends on the brand you choose. you should get the first response one and u can take that one up to weeks after or before your missed period i cant remember. also its common to skip periods when you're on the pill. also.... jus use condoms
The best advice would be to take a test..especially if you even have the slightest idea that you may be pregnant..it's better to be safe than sorry...Not to mention condoms are always good lol...I know its easy to get caught up in the moment..but, they do help clear your concious..lol...
Watch out for symptoms such as nausea, missed period, spotting, moodiness, sore boobs, having to pee more than usual, and fatigue....

Take a home pregnancy test?

If you're that worried see a doctor.
??? idk.

sorry.

u shouldnt have sex until ur married bcuz u can get STD's, AID's, etc.

bad choice.

no offense.

truth sometimes hurts.

sorry.
What kind of advice you are waiting for - take a pregnancy test!
take a test when it comes time for your period thats all i know

I have been single for ages and i would like some advice on chatting to women?

LOL assuming that you're not a chauvinistic, arrogant, egotistical, illiterate, air head...I'd say just be yourself.

Really we all like to feel special and wanted so just use your natural charm, it'll do the trick every time. good luck!!I have been single for ages and i would like some advice on chatting to women?
Same thing you do here, just in person.I have been single for ages and i would like some advice on chatting to women?
One thing I would tell you not to do is use a chat up line because all they do is make you look is stupid. I think that looking at women in the eye is a good thing to do because if they like you then they wouldnt look away and then you could move in and talk to them.

Good luck and dont give up !!!
Well there's no special formula... just be yourself and wait when someone will except you the way you are. In the meanwhile enjoy go out with your friends, do something that makes you feel nice...beacouse when you will have a date you wont have time about doing what you really want.

    good luck :)
Just go up to a woman in the street and tell her she's got a lovely pair of knockers, followed by your best Sid James style laugh.
